When I see people complaining or feeling lazy because they are asked to do something they almost never done or not been used before, I am happy to live my life. I am weary of people who complains all the time. I am happy to have parents who always tell me to never depend on anyone or never ask others when I need something , could it be glass of water. I am happy that I live a simple life. I am happy that I have to walk and struggle to get what I want while others can easily be driven somewhere. I am happy not to be born as a spoiled girl. I can get whatever I want from my parents if I want to , but because I see how life is difficult , when I see how people out there don't have the chance I have to have a roof under over my head and much more , i think that's already a lot and i should not be capricious so I choose to live as a person who live in her means. If someone keeps on living as a princess or prince , the simple hardship will be a calamity for her/him. Unfortunately , we never seems to enjoy things until we lose them and when we lose them , we finally know their value. I feel repulsion toward a person who complain on having Nike or Luis Vuitton Shoes or a girl crying because her husband didn't buy her the fancy Chanel bag. What can we say about a father who feels sad because his wife gave birth to a girl instead of a baby boy ? Doesn't he know that some parents can't even have children. When it happens to others , we advise them to be patient , but when it comes to us we complain. That's not the example. Isn't it crazy how some people can be selfish? Back to the topic , I am happy that I get soaked when I walk outside while others are in their cars complaining about the weather. I am happy that if my clothes get ripped , i don't buy a clothes right away , even if I have the means to do so. Instead , I prefer to sew it and don't have to go to a tailor or ask my mother , because i wanna learn how it feels to make it alone , to do something new and not to count on others so easily. I am happy to struggle to get what I want. and I am even more content because i choose to struggle , sometimes. I prefer not to chose the facility. I believe Allah. I didn't say I believe in Allah. Which means I believe in His words. Didn't He said " Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond that it can bear " ? If He put me in this situation , then i can totally go through this. Everyone can , that's His promise. I enjoy being in company of people who have less than me , i learn a lot from them! As we say , anyone we meet have something to teach us. Always put yourself in other's shoes , it will open up your mind and you'll become more mature. If it's too hot , some almost never have sun in their countries. If it rains , others are tested by drought. If you don't have shoes , others don't have feet. If you're tired to walk , others wish to have feet and walk. If you are fed up studying , others would love getting an education. If you complain about having a fan instead of a AC , some have neither. If you didn't get to eat the food you like , some people don't even find a morself or the half of what you're eating. Always tell to yourself, " what If i didn't have this or that? How others do when they don't have this or that ? what If I become an orphan all of sudden , how am I going to do things by myself?" I wanna live as the blind , as the lame , the orphan , the poor.... If I keep on thinking like that , i know whatever happen to me , I'll be used to the situation , accept it and never complain ! We are tested with everything we have , let's show gratefulness to the best Creator and He'll give us more. Allah said " If you give thanks , I will give you more". ( Qu'ran 14:7 ) .Trust Him. Learn to accept. Never forget , there is always someone struggling more than you do and it is nothing compared to what you endure :) There is a reason for every pain , struggle , you will be thankful later ! I will never thank you enough , thank you for everything Allah.

All of us are are subject to inattention during prayer because Shaytan tries to distract us from Prayer. As a result , this may cause one's prayer to be over performed or incomplete. Therefore , to catch up or make up the missed parts or the added parts during Salah , Allah ordained us to prostrate at the end of salah in order to please Him and defeat Allah. This prostration is called by the scholars " Prostration of forgetfulness " or " Sajdah Sahw". As an example , our beloved Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) , sometimes forgot while praying. He once ended a four rakah prayer with taslim after performing only two rak'ah ( instead of four) and then offered the prostration of forgetfulness as compensation. Another time , he forgot to sit for the first tashahhud in the second rak'ah and prostrated for forgetfulness afterwards. Others situations in which he forgot in salah were illustrated. The Prophet ( peace and blessing be upon him) said : " When any of you forget (i.e errs inattentively in prayer ) , he should perform two prosternations". Three cases in which Sajdah Sahw must be performed - When one inattentively perform something additional in prayer ( addition) - When one misses something ( omittion) - When one is uncertain whether he has performed something additonal or missed some integral part of prayer ( Doubt) [ We use " inattentively " because if one willingly miss an act in prayer , his prayer is deemed invalid] It is to be noted that Sajdah sahw can be performed in both Obligatory and Surerogatory ( nafl) prayers. In the first case , in case of addition that obligates the sajdah sahw , is when a Muslim add acts or words in prayer , acts such as standing instead of sitting ( vice versa) , performing extra bowing or prostration. It is the same as if one absentmindly perform extra rak'ah and does not remember until he finishes , he has to perform sajdah sahw as well. If one remember while performing that extra rak'ah , he has to sit immediately , recite tashahhdud ( if not recite already ) , perform sajdah sahw and then end the prayer with taslim. If an imam inattentively adds an act , men praying behind him must draw his attention by saying " SubhanAllah" but women can only clap their hands. Then it becomes obligatory for the imam to respond to them until he is sure to be right. The same rule goes if the imam omits an act in prayer. There isn't only physical acts but also verbal addition in prayer such as reciting verses of the Qu'ran while one is bowing or prostrating or if one recite a surah after al Fatihah for the 3rd and 4th Rak'ah of Isha , Dhuhr or Asr prayers and the last rak'at of Maghrib , it is also desirable for one , in such cases , to perform sajdah sahw. Second case , is when a Muslim inattentionely misses any of the acts of prayer. Therefore if one misses the opening takbir , the prostration of forgetfulness do not make up for it because the prayer without opening takbir is automatically null. If it is other than the opening takbir , such as bowing or so and one remember BEFORE starting another rak'ah , one must go back to it and perform it as much as he can first , then perform the next rak'ah. Yet , if one remembers such a missed integral part AFTER starting another rak'ah , this missed act nullifies the rak'ah in which it was omitted so the whole rak'ah must be re performed before ending the prayer and one must add prostration of forgetfulness and end it with taslim , provided the remembrance is soon enough. If one remembers the missed integral part after long interval after taslim and his wudhu is invalidated , one must perform the whole prayer. If the missed act is final tashahhud or taslim , it is not regarded as missed full rak'ah so one must only perform it , offer , and end with taslim. If one misses the first tashahhud and remembers it BEFORE completely standing upright for the following rak'ah , one can go back to perform it , but it is detestable for one to sit to perform it if the person is totally standing upright , yet it doesn't nullifies his prayer if he sits. If that person started recitation , it becomes then prohibited to sit and perform the missed tashahuud because the integral part of prayer ( recitation ) musn't be interrupted. Same rules goes for bowing and prostrating. If one forgot to glorify Allah during bowing , he can go back to it if he hasn't stood upright for the following rak'ah. After that , one is to perform sajdah sahw BEFORE taslim and end prayer with taslim. The last and third case , which is doubt in prayer , if one is uncertain about whether he has performed 2 , 3 or more rak'ah one has to proceed taking the smaller number for granted and base one prayer on that assumption. Then , one complete one's prayer and perform the two sajdah sahw BEFORE taslim. RassulAllah ( peace be upon him) said : " When any of you is in doubt whether he has performed one or two rak'ah , he should regard it as only one. Also , when one is in doubt whether he has performed two or three , he sould regard them as two" In a congregational prayer , if a Muslim is uncertain about he has joined the prayer from the first rak'ah or the second , he is to consider it from the second rak'ah and perform the two sajdah sahw and the end of his prayer. When one join congregational prayer late and is uncertain if he has caught a full rak'ah or not , one is to disregard the rak'ah ( must be re performed) and then one performs sajdah sahw and the end of his prayer. I hope after reading this article , we will be more attentive and pay more attention on what we do and say in our salah ! To sum up : Prostration of forgetfulness , Sajdah sahw To be done BEFORE taslim AFTER taslim - If he/she omitted something - If he thinks he omitted something AFTER taslim - When someone added something in prayer like an extra bowing , extra prostration , adding surah after fatihah during thrid and forth rak’at - If a person is uncertain : then he/she considers whether he/she thinks added something or omitted something Note : Before performing sajda sahw you must say one salam ONLY to your right then perform sajdah sahw , after that you end the salah with normal taslim. Not only we as Muslim are required to be pure from minor and major ritual impurities to perform prayer but we are also commanded to purify our body , clothes and remove any spot of impurity means , removal of impurity that afflict pure objects such as clothes , ustensils , sheets , floors and surroundings of prayer place. For instance , the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded a woman to wash her mentrual blood from her garment. The basic means used for the removal of impurity is , of course , water , as it is the original means of purification. Allah said : " ..... and sent down upon you from the sky , rain by which to purify you.." {al Anfal : 11} The kinds of impure objects that must be removed As said earlier , impurity may be linked to the ground , floor or what is connected to them , such as walls, water basins, rocks... . In such cases , it is sufficient to wash it only once meaning , pouring water once until it cover the impure object. The Prophet ( peace be upon him) ordered to pour a bucket of water over the urine of a bedouin who urinated in the mosque. On the other hand , impurity may not be related to the ground or the floor , for example , the impurity caused by dogs , swine .... In such case , the impurity must be washed 7 times , one of them with earth because the Prophet peace be upon him said : " when a dog licks a ustensil belonging to anyone of you , let him wash it seven times , the first of them with earth." ( related by Muslim) However , it is not restricted to ustensil but also to clothes , sheets and the like. If the impurity isn't related to swine or dogs but urine , stool , blood , it must be washed , rubbed and wrung out until it is completely removed , leaving nor sign and color. Washed things can be divided in 3 categories: 1. Squeezable things such as clothes , so they must be wrung out after washing. 2. Unsqueezable things such as leather so they have to be overturned during washing. 3. Things that can neither be wrung out nor overturned , such things have to be washed, scrubbed and then pressed with a heavy object until most of their water dries . (we have washing machine for that nowdays) When a filthy area on one's body , clothes , a small place of prayer , cannot be located then the whole suspected area has to be washed until it is certain that the impurity has been removed. If the impure area cannot be identified , the whole object have to be washed. For a pure material soiled by an infant's urine , it is sufficient to purify it with sprinkling water , not washing it. However , if the child is old enough to eat ordinary food , the ruling on his/her urine is regarded as that of grown-ups , so , the urine has to be removed by washing . Narrated by Umm Qais bint Mihsan that she brought a small son of hers who has not started eating food to the Messenger of Allah (saw). The Messenger of Allah (saw) took him in his lap and he urinated on his garment, so he called for some water and sprinkled on it, but he did not wash it. (Sahih) Three kinds of impure objects : 1. Major impure object : caused by dogs or swine. 2. Minor impure object : urine of infants (who have not yet started eating ordinary food) 3. Moderate impure object : all other impurity. It is to be noted that there must be a disctinction between pure and impure urine and manure of animals. The legally edible animals , such as camels , cows , sheep are pure as it is stated that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) gave permission to the people of 'Uraynah to take the urine and milk of camels of charity as medecine. It means tha the urine of camels is pure because it is impermissible to take a medecine from impure object. As for sheeps , the Prophet ( peace be upon him) would perform prayer at sheepfolds before His mosquee was built , and he would command His companions to perform prayer in such folds though they ( the sheeps) surely had urinated in it. Same goes with cats . On the authority of Abu Qatadah , who reported that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " It ( cat) is not impure , it is one of thoese domestic animal which go round you" Thus , considering cats pure is a way of relieving us ( Muslims) from strictness and difficulty Subhanallah! Some scholars maintain the same ruling on inedilible animals smaller than cats , such as birds. Therefore , the leftover of inedible animals other than cats or birds is impure. By this , we finished this important article. We may not pay attention to everything written here , but it is our duty as Muslims to not hasten in prayer and take care of the cleanliness and purity of our clothes and whatever surround us. ( floors...). May Allah accept our prayers and good deeds. Ameen ! Purification with water has been decreted by Allah as an obligation for a Muslim as long as water is available. However , it happens that sometimes , water becomes unavailable or one is unable to use it due to legal excuse , that's the reason why Allah , out of His grace and mercy has gently provided a substitute which is Tayyamum or in other terms dry ablution with clean earth to make things easy for us. Allah , the Exalted , said : " O you who have believed , when you rise to perform prayer , wash you faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in state of janabah , then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water , then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah doesn't intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you may be grateful" [Qu'ran : Al Ma'idah : 6 ] How can we not be grateful to You , Ô Allah ?! Linguistically , Tayyamum in arabic means intention and legally it means wiping over the faces and hands with clean earth in a specific way. Tayyamum is stated in both the Qu'ran , prescribed in the Sunnah and approved by the consensus. It is related , in Two Sahih , that the Prophet ( peace and blessings be upon him) said : " I have been granted by Allah five things which were not granted to anyone else before me and they are : 1) Allah made me victorious by awe ( by His frightening my enemies ) for a distance of one month's journey. 2) The earth has been made for me and my followers a masjid ( a clean place for prayer) and a means of purification , so anyone of my followers can pray anywhere whenever the time of prayer is due ..." As we saw earlier , dry ablution is a substitute for purification with water in case one is legally unable to use it. When one perform tayyamum , he can perform all the acts of worship as if perfomed ablution with water such as prayer , tawaf , reciting the Qu'ran and so on. The cases in which Tayyamum becomes a substitutes for purification with water. 1. Unavaibility of water : when one finds no water , whether at home or on journey. 2. Avaibility of water but insufficient :when the available water is enough for drinking , cooking and such necessities and purification with water might cause it to run out when it is needed to quench oneself , one's family , people or animals. 3. Probability of harm :when one who use water for wudhu might cause him harm dur to an illness or cause one's delay of recovery Allah said : " but if you are ill......then seek clean water" ( Al Ma'idah : 6] 4. Inability to use water due to illness : when one is unable to use water due to an illness that prevents one from moving to get water and there's nobody to help him perform ablution and one fears to miss performing prayer at its due time. 5. The fear of catching cold : provided that one is unable to heat the water. Allah said regarding this point " .... and do not kill yourselves or one another.." [An nisa : 29) In addition , if water is enough only to wash some of the organs of ablution , one can use water but these organs and then perform tayyamum for the rest of the organs. He said " so fear Allah as much as you are able....." [ At taghabun :16] Moreover , if there is a wound that hurts if it is washed or wiped over , once can perform tayyamum for that wound , and continue performing ordinary ablution with water for the rest of the organs. If wiping over the bandage of the wound with water does not hurt or cause any harm , it is sufficient for one to wipe over that bandage instead of wiping over it with clearn earth. Finally , it is permissible to use clean earth , saline earth or sand. A proof for that is when is was time for prayer and the Prophet and his companions used to perform dry ablution , ( when water was unavailable) , they used earth or anything of the kind. They never took clean earth with them everywhere they would go in case they wouldn't find water. But the question is , how to perform Tayammum? When performing tayammum , one strikes the earth with one's hands while parting one's fingers. Then one wipes over one's face with the palm of the hand and wipes over the hands with the palms of one's hands , provided both the face and the hands are wholly wiped over. It is permissible to strike the earth twice , wiping over the face after the first strike and over the hands after the other. However the former way is the one authentically narrated to have been oberved by the Prophet ( peace be upon him). I invite you to click on this click to understand better : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxr1f5Xv_Ws What nullifies Tayammum ? 1- Whatever minor ritual impurity nullifies it ( stool , urine , wind ) same as ordinary ablution. 2- Whatever major ritual impurity necessitates ritual bathing ( janabah , mentruation , postnatal bleeding) 3- When water is found. 4- When there is no longer a legal excuse such as illness and the like. What is the case of one who find neither water nor earth or one cannot use both water and earth ? It becomes permissible , in such cases , to perform prayer without ablution. Allah said " Allah does not charge a soul exept that within its capacity." Also , one is not required to re-perform that prayer one performed without ablution. We never know when we will be in need of using Tayyamum so it is always important to learn without thinking it won't be of no necessity. We can see through this article how Allah is Merciful upon us, yet we do not see the blessings that surrounds us. If you find any mistakes , i ask you to aware me so i can correct it and if you are not sure about something , thanks to consult any men of knowledge , indeed , the human isn't free of mistakes. Hope it was beneficial ! Jazak Allah u kheiran :) [I took a long time writing this article due to the hardness i found of the rules. After several days and weeks questionning my Fiqh professor to make it easier to understand and make it clearer to my mind , I finally was able to understand it better and i found it nonsense to write an article i couldn't myself understand. I tried my best as it is an important topic about daily Muslims's life , I hope it will be comprehensible for all ! ] Islam , the religion of perfection and easiness teach us how to perform wudhuu in all ease during winter or difficulty when something cover the organs which is hard to remove and maybe needed as a means of protection for the feet ( such as khuffs , socks , shoes..) or for the head ( turban , hijab ) or also to protect the wounds like splints , bandage and the like. We will see in this article the conditions , way and duration of wiping over the khuffs. In some cases , it is permissible to just wipe over them instead of removing them and washing what is underneath. As for the permissibility to use this concession , it is stated in many sahih hadiths that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) used to do so during journeys or when he was at home. As a proof of that , Al Hasan said : " I was told by seventy of the Companions that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) used to wipe over his khuffs with his wet hands during ablution" Wiping over the Khuffs during ablution The act of wiping over the khuffs and observing it is regarded as being better than taking off the khuffs and washing the feet because it is a sign of making use of the legal permission made by Allah, following the Sunnah of the Prophet and contradictiing the religious innovations ( bid'ah). If our beloved Prophet ( peace be upon him) was wearing 2 khuffs , he used to wipe over them both , but if not , he used to wash his feet. Therefore , what is impermissible is to put khuffs or socks just before performing wudhu in order to be able to wipe over them. The Duration of the validity of wiping over the khuffs without Taking them Off For a resident , it is permissible to keep wearing khuffs and wipe over them for a period of one day and night. As for the traveler ( when the destination is far enough and the person is permitted to shorten the prayers) , his period of permissibility is 3 days and nights. It is to be memorized and emphasized that the period of permissibility ( wiping over the khuffs) starts from being in state of ritual impurity ( caused by urine , stool or wind) after wearing the khuffs , as it is known that ritual impurity necessitates ablution for prayer. [ Some scholars view that the duration begins from the first ablution after being in a state of ritual impurity] Conditions of wiping ove the khuffs , socks and the like 1. To be in state of ritual purity ( state of ablution) upon wearing them. To shorten , they are to be put after ablution. If one is being in state of impurity when putting them on , it become impermissible for one to wipe over them. 2. The khuffs must be lawfully acquired , gotten and made. If they are made of silk ( for men ) , it also become impermissible to wipe over them. 3. They must completely cover the feet up to the ankles. One cannot use the concession if they are not thick enough and covering the parts of the feet which must be washed. It is to be noted that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) wiped over his socks and his shoes while performing ablution. It is thus deemed permissible to wipe over any foot coverings , such as socks made of wool and suchlike materials. The permissibility , regarding to wipe over the turban has two conditions : Firstly, the turban must be covering the area of the head which is totally covered. Secondly , the turban must be wrapped round the lower jaw up to the head, one or more than one turn or to be with a back tail. It is worth noting that it is permissible to wipe over khuffs and turban only in case of purification from the state of minor ritual impurity but not major ( janabah...) , in the latter case , one has to take off the khuffs and turban and wash underneath. As for splints , bandages , it is fine to wipe over them during wudhu without removing them provided they cover ONLY the injured part or the necessary parts which need to be covered for treatment. However , if the splints covers more than the injured part unecessarily , they must be removed and pass water under these parts. In contrary of khuffs and turban , the splints can be wiped over even during in state of minor and major ritual impurity and there is NO FIXED PERIOD to wipe over them ( until the wipe heals.) The areas to be wiped over is to be applied to the upper part of the khuffs ( or socks) and for the turban , most of it should be wiped over , especially its folds. As mentionned earlier , bandages must be wholly wiped over . Most importantly , how is it performed? The way it is perfomed is to be passing one's wet finger from one's toe to one's leg. Right leg with right hand and left hand with left leg. Also one should not repeat wiping. Let's do our best to use the legal law of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet and be at our turn teaching to others :) Aisha ( may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " Siwak is a way of purifying the mouth ans satisfying the Lord "
Abu Hurayrah also narrated that the Prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " Five practices are of the natural disposition : circumcision , istihadad , cutting the mustache short , removing the hair of the armpits and clipping the nails." Siwak, which is a kind of stick used in brushing the teeth and gum in order to remove yellowness and undesirable smell. As known by the majority of Muslims , siwak is one of the practice of Allah's Messenger. Therefore , the first to use siwak was our Prophet Ibrahim ( alayhi salam). Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ( aleyhi salat wa salam) has pointed out that siwak is a means of "purifying the mouth" ( it is a mouth cleaner that remove bad odor and the like) and he also stated that it is a way to satisfy Allah as it please Allah , the Exalted. Siwak is to be done with a soft tooth-stick of an arak or olive tree, with a dry date-stalk or such in order to not hurt or crumble the mouth. Moreover , the siwak is to be oberved at all time even when you are fasting and siwak it stressed when performing ablution , for the Prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " But for fear that it would be hard for my followers , I would have ordered them to use siwak on every performance of ablution" Logically , when you want to use siwak during ablution , it is used when rinsing your mouth with water to ensure the purity and cleanliness of the mouth. Using siwak is also stressed act of Sunnah to be observed when standing for prayer , be it obligatory or superogatory. Why ? because we are commanded upon any act of worship to be in PERFECT state of physical and spriritual purity befetting the honor and glory of worshipping Allah , the Greatest. This sunnah is also stressed when you want to read the Glorious Qu'ran. - But , how is it used ? Siwak is used by rubbing the gum and teeth starting from the right side of the mouth and then moving towards the left and you must hold it with the LEFT hand. Now , let's study the acts of natural dispositions. They are as follows : 1) Istihdad : which means shaving the pubic hair. It is called istihdad in arabic because it is derived from the word "hadid" which means razor. Removing such hair is a way of beautification as well as purification. Also , you are free from removing it however you want. 2) Circumcision : It is preferable to be done during childhood and the wound would heal faster and in order to let the child grow in the healthiest way. 3) Cutting the mustache short : it is sad to see that in some countries , men still don't understand it. They cut and shave the beard but keep the moustache. It is also a way of beautification , purification and avoidance of imitating the polytheists. To let the beard grow is a sign of mannish beauty 4) clipping the nails : It is a way of beautification and a way of removing dirt beneath the fingernails ans also avoiding being like the beasts. Unfortunately , nowadays , women do not follow this Sunnah , but they prefer to follow their desires and let their nails as long as polytheist women. 5) Removing the hair of the armpits : To get rid of the increasing bad odor associated with the presence of such hair. Dear readers , let's not take the example of East and Westerns but let's happily and strongly follow the path of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) , because there is no other better example than him to follow....<3 Allah , said : " O you who have believed , when you rise to perform prayer , wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankle...." [Surah al Ma'idah : 6] This verse , states that performing ablution whenever rising to prayer is obligatory , and tell us which organs should be washed and those which should be wiped during wudhu and also specifies what part of them should be wiped or washed. Thus , through the Prophet's sayings , and practices , he has clearly shown us the way to perform ablution. Therefore , ablution has some conditions to be observed , which are : obligatory acts and Sunnah practices. It is to be noted that these both conditions must be fulfilled as much as possible in order to ensure the validity of ablution. Regarding Sunnah practices, they are considered complementary practices that guarantee the perfection of wudhu. It , thus , increase your's reward but abandoning them don't affect the validity of ablution. We will see the conditons of ablution as follow which are of number of 8 : 1. Being a Muslim [= ablution invalid if performed by a disbieliver , an insane person, 2. Being mentally sound [ = an insane person, a young child who doesn't distinguish between right and wrong} 3. Having discretion [ = age of discretion 7] 4. Having the intention of performing wudhu [ not to have the intention to refreshment as in the case of summer] 5. Using pure water 6. Using legally obtained water [ on the contrary , wudhu invalid] 7. Being preceded by istinja or istijma' [ if necessary , as stated in the previous article] 8. Removing what may prevent water from reaching skin of the organ [ = mud , dough , wax , thick paint must be removed ] Now , let's see the Obligation acts of ablution : There are 6 obligatory acts , related to the organs for ablution : 1.Washing the whole face : it also involves rinsing the mouth and the nose with water. It is thus to be understood clearly , that the wudhu will be void if one wahses one's face without rinsing them both because they belongs to the face. Moreover, the Prophet ( peace be upon him) used to do so. 2.Washing the forearms , including the elbows , for Allah said : " ....And your forearms to the elbows..." 3. Wiping over the whole head : It included the ears. For , the Prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " the ears are treated as part of the head". Therefore it is incorrect to abandon wiping over the ears. 4. Washing the feet including the ankles. 5. Sequence. 6. Succession. This means to wash the organs successively without any interval between washing 2 organs- i.e without pause. Concerning the Tasmiyah ( saying bismillah) at the beginning of wudhu , Scholars differ whether it is an act of Sunnah or obligatory act , therefore , it is not to be abandoned. But you may wonder , why those four organs? If someone ask you this , how will you answer ? The reason behind washing those 4 organs , may be because they are the commonest bodily parts related to sins. Even the Prophet ( peace be upon ) , taught us that whenever a Muslim washes one of these organs , the misdeeds committed by one or though them are remitted ( such misdeeds fall and vanish with the flow of water until the last drop). In additon , saying the Two testimony of faith ( shahada) after whudhu is a sign of combining both physical and spiritual purification. One though washing one's organs and the second that purify oneself from Shirk. The acts of Sunnah that are to be observed during Ablution 1. Using Siwak ( tooth-stick) during ablution : It is to be used when you rinse your month during ablution. It is in order to ensure , the cleanesss of the mouth and to be ready for worshipping Allah and Invoking Allah. 2. Starting ablution with washing the hands 3 times 3. Starting with rinsing the mouth and the nose before washing the face. 4. Inserting one's wet fingers into one's thick beard + toes well especially between them 5. Starting with the right organs before the left 6. Washing the face , hands and feet up to 3 times instead of once We will see in this article/ chapter , the correct way of answering the call of nature. It may be simple but how many of us forget this sunnah?? W alsoe will learn about the importance of cleanliness of a Muslim. It is desirable for the Muslim upon entering the bathroom to say : "In the name of Allah , i seek refuge with Allah from all offensive and wicked things ( evil deeds and evil spirits) " , stepping in with the left leg. On the contrary , when you are about to leave , it is desirable to step out with the right leg and invoke Allah by saying : " I seek Your forgiveness.Praise to be Allah , who removed harm from me and gave me health" But why seeking forgiveness? Because we are not enough grateful to Allah and we take things so easily and for granted. We think that being able to answer call of nature is easy , but it wouldn't be easy without the help of Allah. It is indeed a very difficult task for some unhealthy people to answer the call of nature by themselves. To sum up , the right hand or leg is used for whatever is related to beautification and honor , while left hand or leg is used for whatever is related to removing impurities and the like. In the case one has to answer call of Nature out of doors ( a place not prepared for that purpose , like somewhere in the nature where people can see) , it is better for one to do so away from people , behind a wall , a tree or whatever thing can hide you. In addition , one who answer the call of nature is prohibited from facing or turning one's back from the qiblah, rather , one should by respect , one should move eastward or westward as the Prophet ( peace be upon him) has forbidden both to be done. On the other hand , one must be cautious of splashing his urine because it can soil one body or garment. That is the reason one is recommended to chose a smooth ground when having to urinate out of doors. As it was said earlier , it is thus forbidden to touch one's stool ( feces) or urine with the right hand. It is also forbidden to answer the call of nature in the road or at a place where people are used to pass or a place they use as a shelter or even in a source of water used by people as such deeds cause harm to people. Unfortunately , how many people don't respect these instructions and how many of us can see urine so easily in roads's corner!! The Muslim is the brother of one another , he shouldn't do something which he wouldn't like others to do to him. It is also worth mentioning , one should never enter a bath having something like paper or document , containing the Name of Allah or any Qu'ranic verses. In the case where someone fear of losing them ( documents/papers) , it is permissible for one to enter the bath with them but they should be covered with something. One isn't allowed to speak during answering the call of nature because it is mentionned in a hadith that Allah hate such deed. Logically , is it haram to recite Qu'ran in both a bath or while answering the call of nature. Furthermore , as the believer have to be in state of cleanliness all the time ( from a major part of the time) , he should perform 'istinja, istijmar or their subtitutes. It is in fact better for one to both perform istinja and istijma' , to be sure of being clean , yet performing either is sufficient. What is the difference between Istinja and Istijmar ? Istinja consist of cleaning one's stool or urine's exits with stones or its substitute , such as , paper to ensure the cleanliness or dryness of the exits , one clean them thrice or more , if necessary ( of course it is in the case one can't find paper , he can use rock) What's impermissible is using dung or bones to clean one's stool or urine as Prophet forbidden that. Some Faqihs ( scholars of islamic jurisprudence) maintain that Istinja or Istinjmar is one of the conditions of the validity of ablution , that must be performed before it. It is thus to be said that ablution is invalid if it is perfomed without istinja/istijmar. This opinion is also based to ensure the validity of the ablution and to avoid any suspicion. It is thus important to add that one must purify oneself from urine , as negligence in this regard is one of the reasons for the tortures of the grave. Abu Hurayrah reported that the prophet ( peace be upon him) said : " Purify yourselves from urine for most of the punishment in the grave is because of it" Perfection of purification leads to easiness and perfection of performing acts of prayer. Imam Ahmad ( rahimahullah) narrated on the authority of one of the companions of the Prophet that the Prophet was leading the people in Subh prayer , he was not certain about what he recited. So the Prophet , finished prayer and said : " The Qu'ran becomes dubious to us because some of you perform prayer without perfoming ablution properly , so whoever witnesses the prayer with us should perform ablution properly" To conclude this chapter , one should only perform istinja or istinjma after answering the call of nature. Many people perfom it unecessarily before every wudhu. If one pass a wind , he doesn't have to perform istinjma nor istinja ,this is the same rule after one sleep lighly ot deeply , in this case wudhu must be performed only. It is wrong to mistakenly believe that istinja or istijmar is an integral part of ablution as many people think. They are both just the requirements and are to be performed ONLY after answering the call of nature.
